The idea behind this source is to provide others with a base to start developing from. Everything you see on the demonstration site is included. It's quite strongly suggested that you do not get involved with this code if you do not have the knowledge to get it up and running by yourself. The configurability is limited, however those that know what they're doing will find it quite easy to change things once they get familiarized with the code.
Everything has been written so that it's easy to radically change the look of the game by modifying the style sheet and replacing the existing images with images of your own choice. The theme of the game is based on the original Rogue Vampires, which I wrote in the latter half of 2007. The theme is simply what it is because I lack creativity and you're hopefully going to make rather huge changes to it anyway yourself, so it shouldn't make much of a difference. That is, if you can speak of a theme at all, it's rather basic as it's only supposed to be a platform to work off of, not a fully functioning game for you to start playing immediately. In other words, basic functions are provided so all you have to do is start working on your updates and don't have to go through the tidious work of introducing mails, events, forums etc.
The source will be available for purchase, price isn't decided upon yet but somewhere within the range of 75-125 EUR seems reasonable, maybe? Feedback on that through email is greatly appreciated.
The source to http://demo.unrealplains.com is currently under development and therefore not available yet.
Personal note: this project is limited, unlike Unreal Plains it will be finished one day, rather soon actually, probably, and development on Unreal Plains will not be discontinued. Unreal Plains will even benefit from this project as some of the new ideas invented in this project will make it over to Unreal Plains as well. This project, as demonstrated on http://demo.unrealplains.com does not share code with Unreal Plains, it has been developed from scratch with the purpose to be sold to whomever wishes to buy it.
